The Basics

Auschwitz-Birkenau is comprised of Auschwitz I—the site of a visitor center, museum exhibitions, artifacts, and multimedia displays—and Birkenau (or Auschwitz II), left almost exactly as it was when the Nazis abandoned it at the end of the war, complete with gas chamber ruins. Group and private tours with round-trip transportation from Krakow Old Town typically cover both sites and are available in several languages. A visit to Auschwitz can also be combined with the nearby Wieliczka Salt Mine.

Informative, Thoughtful and Moving
Our tour guide in Auschwitz brought light to a very dark situation. She was clear and concise, while also being sympathetic.

Auschwitz & Birkenau: Live-Guided tour with transportation and hotel pickup
Although they dont know which tour guide you're gonna get, ours was a very passionate respectful local woman with more than 20 years of experience. She was definitely the best part of the tour. Also our driver Marcel was really nice and the transportation service was excellent. The vehicle was super clean and everything ran on time.

Humbling Experience

Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial Guided Tour from Krakow
Our pick up was exactly on time and our driver was great - very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Our tour round the sites was given by someone who was very knowledgeable and we did not feel rushed. You must visit to learn about the harrowing experience and atrocities which these innocent men, women and children were subject to. A very humbling experience. I thoroughly recommend this company for this trip.

Auschwitz & Birkenau: Live-Guided tour with transportation and hotel pickup
Very good tour. Felt a bit rushed. Gr8way running late for pick up..again, blamed traffic. Could have done with about 20 minutes between camps as felt a bit rushed. Small groups much better for tours too.

Good guide, emotional and valuable life experience

Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum from Krakow
The whole experience while emotional was very informative of what happened as well as being able to see well preserved camp building etc. We had a guide who took it seriously and gave alot of in depth information. She took the responsibility of passing on the facts and story to heart. She said it best when she said everyone should visit here once in their lifetime and learn from it.

Auschwitz-Birkenau Best Value Shared Tour
Harrowing, sombre but a must do trip. Pick up from the very friendly driver was on time and once at Auschwitz we met up with our extremely knowledgeable guide who told the history and made the place and it’s dark history all the more emotional

Auschwitz - Birkenau Memorial Tour from Krakow
Absolutely amazing, been picked up on time, and everything went smoothly. Our driver was very friendly and knew a lot about history and about place in general, so even without a guide we have been told many new interesting information. Also his English was perfect. Would definitely recommend for everyone.

Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Full-Day Tour from Krakow with Private Transport
There isn't really anything I can say about the camps. However our driver was exceptional, the guide was very informative, and I'd recommend anyone wanting to take the tour to use Viator.
